Notes:
The 'HIGHPRECGNET' layer represents the locations of high precision
geodetic control points in California. Because this is a GIS repre-
sentation of real-world points, users should keep in mind that it
is the points themselves which are located very accurately, not the
GIS representations of them. The quality of the placement of points
in a GIS model depends on the quality of the mathematical routines
that are used to project, store and display coordinates. These data
have been converted to an Arc/INFO coverage using generate; then
projected from latitude/longitude (NAD83) to an Albers meters (NAD27)
coordinate system. Before generate was used, the coordinates were
converted to decimal degrees from DMS.dd format.
