Notes:
This is a series of district layers pertaining to California's
political districts, that are derived from the California State Senate
and State Assembly information. All data layers are reprojected into
the CaSIL standard projection.
The current boundaries for California's Assembly, Senate,
Congressional, and State Board of Equalization districts were enacted
on September 13, 2001, and was signed into law on September 26, 2001
by the Governor.
The California State Senate data was downloaded from
http://www.sen.ca.gov/ftp/SEN/senplan/GEOGRAPHY/SEN_LAW_SHP.ZIP. The
California State Congressional data was downloaded from
http://www.sen.ca.gov/ftp/SEN/cngplan/GEOGRAPHY/CNG_LAW_SHP.ZIP. The
California State Assembly data was downloaded from
